Intimate & Elegant Wedding In Warsaw

Intimate & Elegant Wedding In Warsaw

In our latest wedding feature, we’re taking you on a journey to Warsaw, where London-based couple Magdalena and Alex brought their loved ones together for an unforgettable celebration. The pair chose a sophisticated and intimate soiree at the beautiful Polish capital, which was beautifully captured by Kasia and Jacek Siwko. As Magdalena walked down the aisle, her dashing son Joshua by her side, she made a stunning bride in a vintage-inspired gown and elegant updo.

Meanwhile, Alex beamed with joy in his The Kooples suit, clearly thrilled to be marrying his love. The couple’s special day was further enhanced by a stylish venue, breathtaking blooms, and the warm glow of twinkling candlelight. What makes this wedding truly special is that it has that certain magic – the kind that makes you wish you could have been there to join in on the fun, and who wouldn’t want to be a guest at a wedding as charming and joyful as this one.

For our special day, I opted for a classic and understated wedding look. The foundation of my style was a beautiful vintage-inspired gown from The Boa Boutique in London. This stunning four-piece ensemble consisted of a flowing silk skirt with a dramatic train, a silky top, a French vintage lace jacket adorned with intricate details, and a sash featuring a charming bow at the back.

To complete my look, I chose to keep my hair and makeup natural and subtle, complemented by a thoughtful selection of vintage accessories. Meanwhile, our wedding flowers were a romantic blend of white and pink peonies and roses, carefully paired with some greenery, all tied together with delicate silk ribbons reminiscent of the fabric from my dress.

Our DJ proved to be an invaluable asset, bringing a wealth of creative ideas to the table. However, we opted for a more understated approach to our entertainment, avoiding traditional Polish games and conversation. To set the tone, we kicked off the reception with soothing, jazz-infused classics, maintaining this atmosphere throughout dinner.

In preparation, we provided the DJ with a curated list of songs, which included many requests from our guests who had submitted their favorite tunes upon RSVPing. We also made sure to include our own special song picks, including Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Secret Garden,’ which held significant meaning for us. The track served as a sweet reminder of our journey together and the movie featuring this song holds a special place in our hearts.

As we entered the reception, we were warmly greeted by the iconic ‘Chariots of Fire’ theme song, accompanied by rose petals and champagne. This elegant welcome set the stage for an unforgettable evening. Our first dance was a spontaneous and romantic moment that unfolded on the candlelit terrace, filled with the sweet scent of love in the air. It was during this tender moment that we exchanged our first ‘my husband/wife’ declaration, gazing into each other’s eyes.

As the evening unfolded, we kicked things off with a garden cocktail and a toast with Champagne. The drink options didn’t stop there – we had a variety of alcohols and soft drinks available throughout the night, accompanied by an array of cold and hot canapés to satisfy our guests’ cravings. The seated dinner that followed was a highlight in itself, with three courses that showcased our culinary creativity.

And instead of serving dessert at the tables, we let our guests mingle and discover the sweet treats on offer at our interactive buffet. As the night wore on, we fired up the BBQ, offering a vast selection of vegetables, meats, and fish to tantalize everyone’s taste buds. The combination proved to be a huge hit.

Meanwhile, our cake made its grand appearance on the terrace, adorned with floral dressings and an unexpected touch of magical lighting – it was another moment that will forever be etched in our memories. Our son Joshua even got to join in on the fun, helping us cut the cake. To add a pop of color and whimsy to the tables, we gave out Polish and French flag lollipops, customized with our names and the date of our special day. These sweet treats became a delightful surprise for our guests.

My son and I had actually shopped together just days prior to gather goodies for kids’ goody boxes, wanting him to feel included in this once-in-a-lifetime experience. We were thrilled to discover that Tyger and Empik shops offered an impressive array of mix-and-match treats suitable for all ages.

As we exchanged our vows in the church, surrounded by loved ones, it was a time to cherish every moment. The emotional speeches and joyful interactions only added to the celebration. Following the ceremony, we took some time to unwind together before making our grand entrance at the reception. Amidst the chaos, we managed to steal away for a brief, intimate moment during the party.

The wedding night was nothing short of enchanting, filled with love, laughter, and an overwhelming sense of happiness. We felt like we were floating on air, completely swept up in the magic of it all. I must say, I’m particularly fond of the decor in that dining room – it’s truly stunning, And what a wonderful vision Magdalena & Alex had for their special day, being able to walk down those steps and greet their guests. It’s truly heartwarming to see couples’ dreams come true.

Huge thanks go out to Jacek Siwko Photography for capturing these special moments, as well as Magdalena, Alex, and Joshua for entrusting us with a glimpse into their unforgettable day. Be inspired by more real weddings that tell stories of love and commitment.
