Handmade Details
As part of the wedding’s personal touches, my mother crafted unique boutonnieres for the groomsmen using a flower arrangement on vintage keys. The ring bearers added to the charm by carrying vintage green books wrapped in burlap down the aisle, while I paid tribute to each bridesmaid with a custom-made charm bracelet featuring charms inspired by their individual passions.
Moreover, I handcrafted the mother’s and grandmother’s corsages from pearl bracelets and delicate lace flowers, adding an extra layer of sentimental value to these special wedding accessories.
Decor & Details
As I poured over Pinterest during my engagement, I was thrilled to find inspiration for all the little details that would make our special day truly unique. Being a DIY enthusiast, I spent those months working on various projects to bring my vision to life. We commissioned a beautiful wooden alter from reclaimed wood in my grandfather’s barn, adding a personal touch to our ceremony.
To elevate the overall aesthetic, we opted for real china and linens for all the food and cake, which truly made the experience feel luxurious. I even went the extra mile by ordering custom teal striped straws to complement our mason jar drinks and designed a thoughtful thank you note for each guest’s table setting.
My mother-in-law, an avid scrapbooker, crafted a stunning old window display featuring photographs of our parents’ and grandparents’ wedding days, serving as a touching tribute to the marriages that have shaped us into the people we are today.
The Cake Table
The centerpiece of our celebration was a stunning cake table that left a lasting impression. A vintage buffet, lovingly restored to its former glory in a soft teal hue, took center stage. The distressed finish added a touch of elegance as it showcased our delectable cakes and a delicate mason jar overflowing with luscious pearls.

As we exchanged vows, it was a surreal moment where every effort from months of DIY projects came together in perfect harmony. The celebration far surpassed my wildest dreams, with friends and family gathering to share in the joy I received countless compliments on the decorations, but more importantly, the ceremony left a lasting impression on everyone present.
