Sweet & Intimate Wedding (With A Decidedly 4Th Of July Feel!)

As Independence Day approaches, we’re thrilled to celebrate with a wedding that exudes patriotism and personal flair Kristin and Jesse’s special day in Park City, Utah, was filled with meaningful touches, reflecting their shared love of food, Japanese culture, Prince, and their adorable pup A nod to local charm was also woven throughout the celebration, as they drew inspiration from Kristin’s parents’ hometown.

The stunning event, captured by Amanda of Blueberry Photography and styled by Meredith at Bluebird Event Management, is a masterclass in intimacy and personalized elegance Every detail, from walnuts to hydrangeas, adds up to an unforgettable experience With impeccable style (Kristin in Carolina Herrera, Jesse in Versace), the couple set the tone for their modern, neutral decor with white, peach hues, and silver accents.

And as if the ceremony wasn’t enough, Kristin didn’t let a broken heel dampen her spirits – she took to the dance floor with Jesse for a first dance that was nothing short of funky.

The Music

The Music

As devoted Prince enthusiasts, Jesse and I had already shared many memorable moments together One such occasion was when she introduced me to the iconic Purple Rain movie on one of our early dates The experience sparked a desire to incorporate Prince’s music into our special day We were determined to find an unconventional yet upbeat first dance song that would reflect our playful personalities.

After much deliberation, we settled on ‘I Would Die 4 U’, which proved to be a huge success and left a lasting impression on our loved ones.

Without the ability to create our own DIY decor, we opted for a more straightforward approach Each table setting was elevated with a walnut, adding a touch of elegance to the overall aesthetic The tables themselves were adorned with beautiful flower arrangements, featuring a mix of hydrangeas, peonies, and other blooms The walnuts served as subtle accents, complementing the fresh flowers perfectly.

The evening’s culinary highlight was a leisurely sit-down dinner, where guests were treated to a fresh green salad and a trio of savory options: delectable wild game, crispy fried chicken, or succulent Utah red trout The sweet finale was a sumptuous tres leches cake, its tender sponge soaked to perfection and finished with a tangy lemon buttercream icing that added a delightful burst of citrus flavor.
