The Budget
We took a bold approach when planning Nicolas’ dress and the event itself. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the celebration, from the handcrafted favors, decorations, and invitations to the overall ambiance. While budget-friendly DIY elements were certainly a consideration, they weren’t the primary motivator; instead, we sought to infuse each element with personal touches that would make the experience truly unique and memorable.
Our Favourite Moments
The entire day was a resounding success, with not a single moment that we would alter or modify in any way. The culmination of our love and commitment, as we locked eyes at the end of the aisle, is a memory that will remain etched in our minds forever. It’s as if time stands still, and the world fades away, leaving only the two of us, lost in the magic of that instant.
The Decor & Details
Our design concept was rooted in earthy, understated elegance. To create this look, we paired rustic elements like vintage bottles adorned with fresh flowers on reclaimed wood rounds with a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted table plan and bespoke place settings that exuded warmth and character.
In addition to these thoughtful touches, our wedding favors were a heartfelt gesture – small, handmade vials of extra-virgin olive oil straight from Nicola’s grandmother’s farm in Cyprus, a nod to their family’s rich heritage and the couple’s shared love of quality, artisanal goods.
The Refreshments
As we indulged in an evening of culinary delights, our guests were treated to a delectable spread that showcased the versatility of flavors. The evening commenced with bellinis and a savory pork belly starter that set the tone for a gastronomic adventure. The lamb cous cous main course was a masterclass in texture and taste, while the crème brulee dessert provided a sweet finale.
But the pièce de résistance was undoubtedly our show-stopping cake – an incredible red velvet brownie with a surprise marshmallow filling that left everyone wanting more.
