Our Favourite Moments
Our wedding was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and it’s difficult to pinpoint a single highlight because every moment was so extraordinary. However, one aspect that stands out as quintessentially ‘us’ was the presence of my beloved 1956 Chevy 210, which I had meticulously restored to its former glory.
Having this iconic vehicle parked in front of El Encanto, where we took memorable portraits and draped custom-made signs with our special day’s details, including the classic ‘Just Married’ message on the rear, added an unparalleled layer of personal significance to our celebration. The car not only reflected our vintage theme but also served as a cherished family heirloom, making it an integral part of what made our wedding so unforgettable.
The Photography
What struck us as particularly charming about Miki and Sonja’s aesthetic was its undeniable romantic flair, which gave their style a warm, personal touch that set it apart from many others. But it wasn’t just their visual approach that won us over – our first meeting with the couple only served to deepen our appreciation for their infectious energy and easy-going nature, leaving us with a lasting impression of having found kindred spirits in them.
The Wedding Cake
Our wedding dessert was truly a masterpiece. The showstopper was our three-tiered masterpiece, a majestic pink confection adorned with intricate ivory lace appliques and topped with a charming handmade fresh flower mini arbor that beautifully framed a vintage cake topper from the 1950s.
To complement this edible work of art, we served two distinct flavors: half of the cake was infused with the rich taste of red velvet, while the other half featured a velvety white chocolate and raspberry combination. The groom’s cake, in keeping with its masculine theme, stuck to the bold flavor profile of red velvet, paired delightfully with a vintage Cadillac cake topper that added a touch of whimsy to our celebration.
The Honeymoon
We embarked on a fairytale-like honeymoon adventure in the picturesque paradise of Bora Bora, where romance and beauty reigned supreme. The breathtaking scenery and crystal-clear waters set the tone for an unforgettable getaway. We were thrilled to share this extraordinary experience with our readers.
