The Inspiration
Our goal for our wedding, much like our personalities, was to maintain a sense of calmness, serenity, and composure. This tranquil atmosphere perfectly complemented the natural beauty of our ‘Big Sur Wedding in the City’ concept. To achieve this ambiance, we chose a color palette that drew inspiration from the soft hues of pastel colors – creams, blues, greens, gray, with subtle hints of yellow and blush. These soothing tones evoked the feeling of being surrounded by nature’s serenity.
Favourite Memories
Our goal for our wedding, much like our personalities, was to maintain a sense of calmness, serenity, and composure. The Ceremony
Our wedding experience was made even more unforgettable by surrounding ourselves with loved ones from start to finish. Every vendor we chose, from our brother-in-law who served as officiant to photographer Chaz Cruz and invitation designer Chabot Craft Co, had a personal connection to us or each other. This sense of familiarity fostered an atmosphere where everyone felt like part of the same family, working together to tell our love story.
The result was a dream team of friends and loved ones collaborating to create unforgettable memories. We even took it a step further by having multiple family members involved in the ceremony, including the bride’s brother and another brother-in-law who sang and played guitar during the processional. As we exchanged our vows, not a single dry eye could be found in the room.
Favourite Memories
For us, one of the most special aspects of our wedding day was sharing it with our beloved pup, Howl As we affectionately refer to him as our ‘first born’, he has been a constant companion through life’s ups and downs. Seeing him roam freely, greeting family and friends throughout the night was truly unforgettable. To make his special day even more memorable, our talented florist Danielle crafted a custom floral wreath for Howl to wear during the ceremony.
And in a delightful touch, she also created a matching floral bow tie for him to don alongside the groom – a charming nod to their shared elegance.
The Honeymoon
Our post-wedding getaway to Fiji was an unforgettable experience that allowed us to unwind, let go of planning worries, and simply revel in each other’s company as newlyweds. What drew us to this Pacific island paradise was its remarkable diversity – we got to explore caves, immerse ourselves in local culture, indulge in luxurious spa treatments, and bask in the sun on some of the world’s most stunning beaches.
Our week-long stay at the Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa was nothing short of exceptional. We were treated to an exclusive experience at their ‘Club Intercontinental’ Suites, which boasted a private lounge, pool area, and lush tropical garden with a daybed, outdoor Cleopatra bath, and private plunge pool. Daily indulgences included afternoon tea time, evening cocktail hour, and a decadent breakfast buffet.
But what truly made our trip stand out was the warmth and hospitality of the Fijian people – some of the kindest and most charming individuals we’ve had the pleasure of meeting.
