Get ready to be dazzled by a tidal wave of glamour! I’m thrilled to share the stunning images from our recent bridal shoot, designed in collaboration with a team of London’s top wedding professionals. As featured in this month’s issue of Your London Wedding magazine, these photographs are sure to leave you breathless. If you missed the behind-the-scenes film of the shoot by Deneemotion, you can catch it here. For this inspiration shoot, Sam from A Little London Wedding and I aimed to create a modern, stylish aesthetic that would appeal to city-dwelling brides and grooms. Our vision was ‘editorial’ in style, drawing inspiration from the likes of Vogue and GQ editorials as well as Tom Ford’s sultry ad campaigns. Parisa Walklett’s high-fashion photography brought our vision to life in a way that’s both evocative and sumptuous. Our shoot, titled ‘Post Nuptial’, captures the essence of a luxurious London hotel suite on a dark and moody honeymoon night. We joked that it was an interpretation of what might have happened after James Bond tied the knot with one of his Bond girls! It’s a modern, sultry, and impossibly glamorous take on the traditional bridal shoot, and I’m confident you’ll be as captivated by these images as I am.
The Town Hall Hotel
Our photo shoot took place at the one-of-a-kind Town Hall Hotel in East London, where 19th-century charm mingles with modern elegance. This historic gem has been repurposed as a luxurious hotel, boasting stunning features like soaring ceilings, art deco furnishings, and ornate plasterwork. The De Montfort Suite, our main shooting location, is an extraordinary space that combines the best of both worlds: a spacious one-bedroom suite and a romantic honeymoon retreat. With its triple-height ceilings, multi-level design, grand piano, and state-of-the-art amenities like a plasma TV and sleek glass partitions, it’s the ultimate haven for lovebirds.
Hair & Make Up by Hepburn Collection & Mariam Jensen
A collaborative effort between hairstylist Severin Hubert of Hepburn Collection and make-up artist Mariam Jensen resulted in the creation of two striking ‘high glamour’ looks for the shoot. By combining vintage waves with feline-inspired eyeliner flicks, they evoked the timeless elegance of old Hollywood. In contrast, a sleek chignon and bold plum lip transformed Brazilian model bride Anna from ceremony to evening black tie reception, showcasing her versatility and range.
October House Suits
Bespoke tailors October House dress the most stylish grooms in London by crafting unique ensembles that exude sophistication and elegance. Their bespoke three-piece black suit and grey check suit with a subtle yet thoughtful ‘something blue’ silk lining are testaments to their expertise. Deano, our impeccably attired groom, would give even the suavest of Bond-like characters a run for his money in terms of stylish flair.
The State Of Grace
To elevate the overall aesthetic of our styled shoot, we incorporated a stunning silk gown in a soft, dove grey hue reminiscent of a tranquil sky at dawn. This exquisite piece was crafted by The State Of Grace, London’s esteemed bespoke design and styling house, renowned for their attention to detail and commitment to excellence. To add an air of sophistication and romance, we also curated a selection of vintage jewels and accessories from the house’s impressive collection, which perfectly complemented our bride’s ethereal beauty.
Ricky Paul Flowers
The shoot’s romantic ambiance was enhanced by Ricky Paul Flowers, who provided a stunning bouquet of luscious roses in pale pink and ivory hues, complemented by dozens of fragrant single stem roses. This thoughtful touch helped to balance the dark, moody atmosphere that pervaded the scene.
I’m deeply grateful to the entire creative team involved in this project for embracing our unconventional vision and dedicating themselves to bringing it to life. Their hard work, talent, and dedication are truly appreciated, and I have no hesitation in recommending each of them to anyone seeking exceptional services for their wedding.
