A quintessential English countryside wedding is always a delight. The picturesque village church, delicate posies of sweet William and roses, and a lively garden filled with champagne and bunting all come together to create an idyllic setting for Rachael and Matthew’s special day. They put their own unique spin on things by transforming their back garden into a stylish celebration.

A show-stopping Jenny Packham wedding gown, a vintage bus making a memorable appearance, whimsical geronimo balloons floating above the crowd, and even a horse-drawn cameo added to the whimsy of the proceedings. To top it all off, they had a decadent chocolate wedding cake that was almost too beautiful to eat.

Every detail of their special day was captured by the talented Juliet McKee Photography, resulting in a collection of stunning images that perfectly capture the joy and love shared between this lovely couple. With Rachael’s clear vision for her DIY decor and her own Surrey garden serving as the perfect backdrop, she aimed to channel Kate Moss’ iconic bridal party style. We think Miss Moss might just have met her match in this beautiful bride’s party planning prowess.

We envisioned our wedding as a unique blend of elegance and revelry, where every guest felt celebrated. Our decision to host the event at home was instrumental in creating an atmosphere that perfectly balanced these dual goals. The familiarity of our own surroundings allowed us to infuse the occasion with our personal touch, resulting in an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

I opted for a carefree approach when designing my summer space, allowing my personal preferences to guide the aesthetic. To infuse a sense of seasonality, I incorporated blooms and hues reminiscent of June’s warm weather, trusting that the resulting fusion would be harmonious.

At the corner of Number 12, a vibrant display of flowers caught my attention. The variety was impressive, with sweet William and roses taking center stage. A bouquet of sweet peas added a touch of whimsy to the arrangement, while the rest of the blooms blended seamlessly into the seasonal palette.

With a distinct vision in mind, I took charge of decorating the wedding myself, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome. Not On The High Street proved to be an invaluable resource, allowing me to bring my unique concept to life without compromise.
