As you ease into the new week, we’re thrilled to share a stunning ocean view wedding that’s sure to lift your spirits. Meet Sarah and Daniel, who exchanged vows in an elegant al fresco ceremony on Sydney Harbour. The couple’s refined taste is evident throughout their celebration, from the soft pink and grey hues to the beautiful fleur-de-lis embellishments and lush blooms.

With inspiration from SugarLove Weddings, this chic beachside wedding perfectly balances classic refinement with relaxed romance. A masterclass in clean style and modern details, it’s a must-see for any couple seeking a stylish yet personal celebration.

Our Theme

Our wedding theme revolved around the iconic Fleur-de-lis symbol, which held special significance as it’s not only a nod to Florence, Italy – where we got engaged – but also a nod to French royalty. Given our shared love for the finer things in life, including delectable cuisine and exquisite wine, we wanted to subtly incorporate this motif into every aspect of our celebration: from invitations to decor and favors.

The colour palette featured soft pink hues, crisp white accents, and oyster grey undertones, which beautifully complemented our chosen theme.

The Flowers

The Flowers

The floral arrangement was a charming posy-style bouquet that featured a palette of whites, including David Austin roses, Lisianthus, and Freesia Delicate touches of snowberry and Brunnera berry added subtle depth to the overall design. The men’s boutonnieres were equally elegant, with David Austin roses paired with grey Brunnera berries and Dusty Miller foliage. The table arrangements followed a similar theme, incorporating Dusty Miller leaves for added texture.

Meanwhile, the Chuppah poles were adorned with torchon willow branches, which provided a natural contrast to the flowing white Lisianthus flowers that cascaded down each pole.

Our day was filled with joyous moments, but one that truly stood out was witnessing Daniel’s special exchange under the breathtaking Chuppah, set against the glittering backdrop of Sydney Harbour. The combination was nothing short of captivating, and it’s a memory I’ll treasure forever.

As we welcomed our guests, we treated them to a delightful start with peach bellinis and canapés overlooking the majestic Sydney Harbour. The evening then unfolded with a formal sit-down meal featuring not two, but three tantalizing courses for entree and main. Our own tasting experience was so impressive that we simply couldn’t narrow it down to just one or two options – instead, we decided to indulge in all three dishes, ensuring our guests would be equally delighted.

The Cake

The Cake

Our celebration featured a stunning cake designed by Faye Cahill, which perfectly captured the essence of elegance with its classic style. The chocolate hazelnut tiers and refreshing citrus and strawberry middle layer were a true delight. Faye’s masterful touch ensured that the oyster grey stripes and pale pink floral accents remained timeless and beautiful. As I gazed upon the cake, I couldn’t help but be struck by its loveliness.

And let’s not forget the taste – my friends devoured slice after slice.
