Elegant & Relaxed Al Fresco Destination Wedding In Barcelona

Elegant & Relaxed Al Fresco Destination Wedding In Barcelona

Imagine a perfect wedding – one that’s uniquely yours. For some, it’s an intimate backyard gathering; while others envision a grand hotel affair. But for me, today’s elegant and effortlessly chic destination wedding in Barcelona embodies my idea of perfection.

Eti & Francois’s special day unfolded against the picturesque backdrop of Masia Ribas, where the lush garden setting provided the perfect ambiance for their al fresco feast under twinkling string lights and lively dancing that continued well into the night. Gabby of En Route Photography beautifully captured every moment of this unforgettable celebration on film.

This lovely couple’s wedding is a treasure trove of delightful details – from the charming ceremony setting to the cozy single table adorned with wildflowers, the stylish guests, and refined refreshments. Rather than sharing more about it, I’ll let Eti & Francois share their story, along with Gabby, who masterfully brought their special day to life behind her lens.

From the Photographer

In a picturesque union, Eti, a Turkish bride residing in London, and Francois, her French groom, exchanged vows in the vibrant city of Barcelona. Their decision to host the celebration in this cosmopolitan hub was motivated by a desire for an inclusive gathering place where friends and family from around the world could come together to rejoice. The festivities began with an energetic dance session during cocktail hour, which seamlessly transitioned into a lively dinner party.

On a warm summer day, the atmosphere was further elevated by the breathtaking backdrop of their chosen venue – a stunning house that perfectly complemented the love and joy radiating from the newlyweds.

Our Love Story

It’s hard to believe it’s been five years since we first crossed paths in London, brought together by mutual acquaintances. As fate would have it, Francois popped the question on our fourth anniversary, marking the culmination of an unforgettable 30-day adventure in Asia that will forever be etched in my memory.

While the venue itself was already breathtakingly beautiful, we decided to keep the decor minimal yet elegant by adding only a touch of freshness in the form of lovely flowers.

Advice for Other Couples

Advice for Other Couples

When planning our wedding, we faced the daunting task of having less than six months to prepare. Despite this timeframe, we took the advice of being flexible with our chosen day to heart. Fridays and Saturdays are notorious for booking up quickly, which can leave couples with limited options. To avoid this constraint, we opted for a Sunday wedding, which ultimately proved to be an ideal choice for us.

Given that many of our guests were traveling from afar, having more flexibility in terms of venue and catering options became a significant advantage. This decision not only reduced the pressure on finding available spaces but also allowed us to tailor our celebration to better suit our needs.

The Honeymoon

The Honeymoon

After exchanging vows, we embarked on a culinary journey along the picturesque Amalfi Coast in Positano, indulging in delectable cuisine and breathtaking scenery. The experience was nothing short of unforgettable, and we highly recommend it to anyone seeking a romantic getaway. The concept of a single-table wedding resonates deeply with me, as it exudes an air of intimacy and personalization.

Etsy’s stunning Jesus Peiro gown and the elegant Jenny Packham headband were truly showstopping – a testament to the couple’s impeccable taste. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the newlyweds, Eti and Francois, as well as Gabby of En Route Photography for sharing their laid-back destination wedding with us. It was an absolute pleasure to feature this captivating celebration.
