As we kick off the week, let’s dive into the delightful details of Anna and Ted’s whimsical wedding in Pennsylvania. Here are three standout aspects of their special day: Firstly, Anna stunned in her exquisite BHLDN wedding dress, featuring intricate lace and Spanish-inspired ruffles – a perfect choice for an intimate backyard celebration. She paired it with elegant gold jewelry and dainty bow-adorned wedges, while the bridesmaids donned charming mismatched dresses in blush pink.
Secondly, the couple’s farmhouse reception was a true reflection of their laid-back vibe, with many DIY elements that added to its charm – think a vibrant fabric garland ‘chandelier’, a romantic fairy light canopy, and even a beer-filled boat. Thirdly, after exchanging vows, the wedding party took a spontaneous trip to a nearby carnival, resulting in some of the most memorable and joyful bridal party shots ever captured by Lauren Fair Photography.
It’s hard not to smile when thinking about this carefree couple.
The Ceremony
The story began with Ted’s grandfather, who preserved a cherished family tradition by singing the iconic Irish Wedding Song immediately following the communion ceremony – a ritual that has been passed down through generations and remains an integral part of their family wedding celebrations.
The Wedding Music
As we stepped onto the dance floor, the music transported us to a world of love and magic. Our first dance was set to the enchanting ‘Into the Mystic’ by Van Morrison, a timeless classic that seemed tailor-made for this special moment.
Advice For Other Couples…
Looking back on our wedding planning experience, I realize how invaluable it would’ve been to have a dedicated day-of coordinator. With so many moving parts on the big day, having someone outside of the wedding party or family as a central point of contact was crucial. It’s easy to get caught up in worrying about every little detail, but ultimately, not every aspect of the wedding will be remembered by your guests.
Instead, focus on savoring the special moments and enjoying the experience with your loved ones. Time flies, after all.
