It’s time to break free from the conventional notion that wedding blogs are only worthy of featuring winter weddings during the cold winter months. As it turns out, there are numerous couples planning their own enchanting winter nuptials right now – and I’m here to celebrate them. Take Heather and Tom’s romantic winter wedding, for instance. This delightful celebration was a masterclass in elegance, individuality, and unadulterated joy.
From The Bride…
Our wedding was an enchanting blend of modern sophistication and vintage charm, with a festive Christmas twist. While it was stylish without being too formal, our celebration was quintessentially romantic and infused with an infectious sense of fun. We’re still beaming from the sheer joy of having shared the best day of our lives together.
The little touches that made it truly special included a wedding quiz to keep guests engaged, surprise performances by singing waiters, adorable baby photo displays featuring all our loved ones, and a spirited bridesmaid-groomsmen dance-off – all of which combined to create an unforgettable experience.
The Flowers
Our choice of florist, Cafe Des Fleurs in Rye, exceeded our expectations with the stunning creations they produced. My bouquet was truly breathtaking, and the candelabras wrapped in lush foliage and twinkling fairy lights added an extra touch of elegance to the arrangements. We opted for amnesia roses, which seemed fitting given my connection to the Steeke family and my husband’s Berry heritage – a clever nod to our shared surname.
Décor & Details
The ambiance was set with a combination of soft candlelight, twinkling fairy lights, and sweet-scented potpourri. The room’s aesthetic was further elevated by lush greenery, while the majestic Christmas tree stood tall above it all. Adding a touch of whimsy were table settings named after iconic quotes from Friends. As for favors, guests received thoughtful treats including Nails Inc.’ nail polishes in soothing shades like Porchester Square and Green & Black’s rich, velvety chocolates.
The Entertainment
As the wedding celebration reached its climax, a delightful surprise awaited the guests: Soprano Bella, an unexpected singing sensation, emerged alongside a troupe of talented waiters to perform a heartfelt rendition that left everyone in awe. The secret was kept under wraps by Tom and I, leaving the rest of the attendees utterly surprised and delighted. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as the crowd erupted into applause, cheers, and even tears of joy.
Feet tapped out the rhythm, and soon the whole room was dancing to the infectious beat.
Dottie Photography
We first encountered the delightful duo behind Dottie Photography at a wedding showcase, where their infectious energy and quirky charm immediately won us over. Mandy and Zoe’s remarkable photography skills and warm demeanor made them a pleasure to be around. Our cherished moments are now beautifully preserved thanks to their expertise. The lovely couple, Heather and Tom, are embarking on this new chapter in life together, and we’re thrilled for them.
We’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dottie Photography for sharing these stunning images with us, and can we just marvel at Heather’s breathtaking dress for a moment? It truly is a masterpiece. As the winter wedding season approaches, we’re curious – are any of you lovely readers planning a snowy celebration?
