Natalie’s style is truly captivating, from her sleek rose lace dress to her effortlessly undone side chignon, which perfectly complements her sharp black patent heels and statement Art Deco onyx earrings. The real showstopper, however, is the bride’s bouquet – a unique blend of lisianthus, small white roses, and berries, cleverly spray-painted black to match the overall aesthentic.

It’s clear that Natalie has impeccable taste; her husband Stefan also looked dashing, making them a stunning couple. Their Sydney wedding was an authentic reflection of their personalities: they deliberately omitted certain traditions that didn’t resonate with them, opting instead for novel elements like the bride vs piñata competition. When asked to describe their special day, Natalie and Stefan used words like ‘fun’, ‘perfect’, and ‘amazing’.

Take a look at these breathtaking photos by Origami Creatives, and you’ll understand why they’re so effusive in their praise.

As we prepared for our celebration, we created unique favors that reflected the joy and warmth of the occasion. We decorated chocolate hearts with vibrant colored wrapping, carefully selecting shades like yellow, green, and pink to add a pop of color. To further enhance the experience, we discovered Evil Eye beads, which are believed to bring good fortune and ward off evil in Greek mythology.

Meanwhile, my sister, friend, and I spent a crafty afternoon crafting a paper mache heart that would serve as the vessel for our favors. Over a few glasses of wine, we carefully shaped the heart, which later became the focal point of our celebration. As the night drew to a close, I couldn’t resist the urge to bust open the paper mache heart, revealing the treasures inside.

For a more substantial offering, look no further than our Dukkah encrusted chargrilled chicken with passionfruit relish, Moroccan spice-citrus infused lamb with couscous and saffron, or the lemon myrtle kingfish. To finish, why not indulge in our decadent dessert canapés, including creme brulee, chocolate, honey & Frangelico mousse, or a classic cupcake.

The opening notes of Eddie Vedder’s processional song ‘Longing to Belong’ transported me back to my wedding day, where memories with my partner Stefan were being crafted. We didn’t have a traditional first dance song; instead, we had a special tune that always brought us back to our time in Sydney, courtesy of Calvin Harris. As the music began playing at our celebration, a group of us instinctively hit the dance floor, united by the nostalgia and joy of the moment.

What I believe is crucial to remember is that your wedding day should be a true reflection of who you are as a couple. You don’t have to feel pressured into incorporating every trendy or traditional element if it doesn’t resonate with you. It’s your special day, and ultimately, you should focus on what brings you joy and makes both of you happy. Don’t stress about the little things; as in the end, what will truly stand out is the love, laughter, and memories shared with your loved ones.

For Natalie and Stefan, their big day was truly unforgettable.
