The wedding details that stood out to me were the personal touches, such as using photos from family weddings and personal albums as table markers This was particularly meaningful for me because my father-in-law had passed away a few years prior, and it allowed me to honor his memory and those who are no longer with us Our wedding planner, Amber, went above and beyond to make our special day truly unique, including creating cocktail napkins with trivia questions about Matt and me.
The music played a crucial role in making the ceremony feel like a true reflection of our love story We chose songs that represented different eras and moments in our relationship, which held great significance for me given my family’s deep love of music My father had instilled in me a passion for music from a young age, with artists like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones being staples in our household.
The bond I share with my dad is incredibly strong, and music has always been a symbol of that connection for me Additionally, it was wonderful to have a makeup crew pamper my bridal party and important female family members before the ceremony, allowing us to spend quality time together and reflect on the incredible women who have inspired me throughout my life and helped Matt and I build our strong partnership.
The Ceremony
Our wedding ceremony was deeply rooted in Catholic tradition, largely due to my own heritage In the weeks leading up to the big day, we worked closely with an American Catholic priest who provided us with valuable guidance through Catholic counseling This foundation of faith continued into the ceremony itself, where we incorporated several meaningful elements.
We chose scripture from Romans 12:1-2 and 9-18 as a cornerstone of our celebration, while also drawing inspiration from Louis de Bernières’ poignant passage in Captain Corelli’s Mandolin As we exchanged our vows, we also honored our mothers by presenting them with roses – a symbol of the joining of families and a heartfelt thank you for their unwavering support throughout this journey.

What drew us to Studio 1208 was the unique, personalized experience they provided Rather than simply showing up on the day of the event, Maria and Nick went above and beyond by attending our rehearsal dinner and seamlessly integrating themselves into our celebration By doing so, they transformed themselves from strangers to honorary guests, allowing them to capture intimate moments and genuine interactions with our loved ones.
And it’s no surprise that their exceptional work in both photography and videography has yet to be matched, boasting a level of quality unmatched by any other wedding media we’ve had the pleasure of experiencing.
