As I look back on my wedding day, I’m surprised to find that my favorite part wasn’t the reception, where we got to let loose and have fun Instead, it was the quiet intimacy of being up there with my love, surrounded by nothing but the two of us It was a moment of pure simplicity and connection

I’ll never forget the nervous energy before he said his vows – he did a karate chop to calm himself down It was a hilarious moment that broke the ice and allowed us to be our authentic, quirky selves.

We didn’t worry about being stoic or professional; we just were ourselves, and it created an incredible dynamic between us during the ceremony.

As we reflect on our special day, we’re grateful for the wise decision to allocate our resources thoughtfully We didn’t prioritize lavish decorations with our names emblazoned on every surface, instead choosing to invest in what truly mattered The ephemeral nature of material possessions eventually became apparent, and we were relieved to have spared ourselves unnecessary stress

Our wedding day was a celebration of our love and commitment to each other.

We chose to cherish the time spent together as a newlywed couple, rather than splitting up to mingle with distant acquaintances The result is a treasure trove of intimate memories that we’ll always treasure

When it comes to wedding flowers, we learned the hard way that DIY arrangements can be overwhelming and time-consuming We were fortunate to have hired a talented family friend who was launching her own floristry business – a decision we’re thrilled with.

When planning our special day, we prioritized capturing timeless, high-quality photos that would stand the test of time without relying on heavy editing or effects Our top choice for photographer was Alyssa, whose work not only wowed us with its beauty but also impressed us with her down-to-earth personality and integrity as a business owner.

As a result, my family members have been effusive in their praise, telling me that they’ve never felt more at ease in front of a camera than when working with Alyssa.

My formative years were filled with unforgettable experiences in this picturesque setting As a testament to its grandeur, I’m the final sibling to have exchanged vows within these walls, making it an especially meaningful location for me.

We showcased a diverse selection of craft beers, featuring Diamond Knot Blonde ale, Fremont Universale Pale, and Boundary Bay Scotch Ale To add some uniqueness to the evening, we also served Liefman’s Cuvee Brut, a Belgian-imported sour cherry ale that was a special treat for our guests For wine enthusiasts, we offered Canyon Road Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir, all sourced from our go-to local spot, Trails End Taphouse.

The option to grab a drink beforehand proved to be a hit with many of our guests, who appreciated the opportunity to socialize before the ceremony Following the ceremony, we provided a few light bites for those who didn’t want to immediately join the food truck line These included platters of cheese and crackers prepared the night prior, a large basket of kettle corn from the Snohomish Farmer’s Market, and our favorite trail mix, crafted by the bride herself.

For dinner, we opted for a BBQ food truck experience, while the self-serve dessert table featured an assortment of sweet treats, including strawberry shortcake with homemade whipped cream, key lime pie, cheesecake, peanut butter pie, lemon bars, chocolate chip cookies, and chocolate torte.
